Online Video Consultations via Doctena

At Huisartsenpraktijk Kioskplaats, we offer secure online video consultations via Doctena for selected medical concerns that can be safely assessed remotely.

A video consultation is a medical appointment conducted via a secure video connection. It is a convenient complement to an in-practice visit, but does not replace a physical examination when one is medically necessary.

Dr. Mohan always decides whether a video consultation is appropriate for your medical concern.

When is a video consultation suitable?

  • Follow-up of an existing medical condition
  • Discussion of blood test results or other investigation results
  • Medication review
  • Mental or emotional concerns
  • Preventive health advice
  • Assessment of whether an in-practice visit or referral is necessary (triage)

Not every medical problem can be safely assessed via video consultation. If the available information is insufficient or a physical examination is required, you will be asked to schedule an in-practice appointment or will be referred to the most appropriate healthcare provider.

Requesting a video consultation

Video consultations are only available on the same day and cannot be scheduled in advance. To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:

Present in person at Huisartsenpraktijk Kioskplaats on the day you wish to request a video consultation. A video consultation is a request and cannot always be accommodated — this depends on the medical assessment and the availability of Dr. Mohan.
Have had a consultation with Dr. Mohan at Huisartsenpraktijk Kioskplaats within the past 5 months.

If both conditions are met, the nurse will schedule your video consultation and provide the necessary instructions. During the consultation, Dr. Mohan will assess whether your medical concern can be safely addressed via video.
